I arrived yesterday about 6 p.m. I had pushed hard, 142 miles in two days, to get here.  I was motivated by the thought of the lovely home of Lisa and Bob Mayer in which to rest in SF, by a shower and washing machine, and by seeing friends Maryn Juergens (Steve and Peggy Sue’s daughter) and Adam Reid (Murray’s son). I greatly enjoy getting to know friends’ kids as adults.

I took photos and video from the bridge, rode across with slight anxiety,  noticing the complete comfort of those who regularly cycle across the bridge, and Googled my way to Bob and Lisa’s, once again arriving as it got dark.

Shower. Dinner. Wine.  Comfortable bed.  Ahhhhhhhh…
